Family Resource Worker (Mr. David Watson)
The Family Resource Worker is a counselor within the school division who works in the following areas:

Individual and/or group counseling with students. Anger management, self-esteem, social skills, behavior management, divorce, peer relations, and academic achievement are some of the areas touched upon.

Family counseling. If families are having difficulties with their child at home, the family resource worker is available to do work with the family to help improve situation and help families through difficult periods. Parenting skills, communication, conflict resolution, and problem solving are some of the areas taught.

Preventative Education. Programs within the school teach students about issues such as drugs, alcohol abuse, respect, peer pressure.
Referrals for counseling are accepted from students, teachers, parents and any involved person in the community. Contact the school at (403) 823-5244 if you would like more information about the program or would like to make a referral.
